Folly 2 Reviews

Kathryn
Folly 2 is a joy from the moment you enter the front door. The views over the bay are simply stunning. My daughter has stayed in Folly 2 three times before and I can see why she keeps going back. It is homely and welcoming at the same time as being stylish and modern. I didnt want to leave! Communication with the owner was friendly and prompt Port Isaac itself is beautiful with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

Folly 2 is like a dream. The inside of the home is large and decorated very well. It is not an open plan which made it all the more charming. The dining room and the living room look out onto the ocean. The windows open onto a sweeping view of Port Isaac and the famous bayview. There is a walk up to a chair that has a wonderful view right out your door or you can walk in less than 3 minutes to historic downtown Port Isaac. The town offers history, great shops, great walking and wonderful food! I highly suggest staying in Port Isaac and especially Folly 2! Clair is wonderful to rent from! I am a big Doc Martin fan. If you love the show this home is right next to Doc Martin's surgery and cottage. Unbelievable but true and wonderful!

Great property and location, truly superb. Getting a big car through the town and up to the house is an ordeal though, very tight. All else is without fault, cheers.
Rebecca
Wonderful stay, gorgeous property which was perfect for our multigenerational family holiday. The views from almost all the rooms were very special, no need for tv or distractions. The owner was also very helpful. A perfect stay!
Debbie
We had a wonderful week in this house, the setting could not be more perfect. If anything the photos don't do the house justice, we felt the rooms were brighter and bigger than the photos show and were very pleasantly surprised. More than enough room for our family of 8 plus a baby even on the rainy days. We really appreciated the contact from the owner who gave us great local tips and was available if we needed anything. Thank you for a wonderful week.
A very enjoyable stay with family. Fantastic views.
We have stayed at the Folly 2 for the last 3 years as a group of friends and its an absolute gem! The most amazing views, a genuinely beautiful lounge where you can spend hours and hours rain or shine looking at the bay. The perfect base to explore north Cornwall thank you! I would recommend to anyone! We will be back x
'We had a wonderful stay in The Folly 2 over the weekend of 111024. So much so that we have booked again. The Folly 2 is a wonderful property, everything thing we needed, decorated beautifully and in a fabulous location enjoying the local restaurants each evening. The October sunshine even came out for us so we even managed a coastal walk from the doorstep. Thankyou x'
Love it here so much the best views of the harbour and loveliest house
Rachael
This house is beautiful. It is set out with such thought and care it makes it feel magical. The views from the windows are unparalleled. We were very comfortable here. There is everything you need. I cant say enough good things about the house it is by far the most amazing place we have ever stayed in.
Claire is a gracious and attentive host. The house is beautiful inside and out, the position is fantastic and the views wonderful. Having a parking space in Port Isaac is a tremendous bonus.
Simply stunning in every way. The location is unparalleled with beautiful sea views from most rooms. The house has every thing you could possibly need and is beautifully furnished. The owner, Claire, is so very kind and helpful. She personally telephoned us to check everything was ok and provided a lovely welcome gift which we thoroughly enjoyed. We don't think there can be anywhere better to stay. The village and its many facilities are a very short walk away, parking is immediately by the house and we spent many an hour sat outside enjoying the views, the sunrises and sunsets. There are scenic coastal walks from the door and many things to see and do in the local area. Oh and not forgetting Fishermans Friends and Doc Martin! Wonderful place to stay.
A beautiful property with amazing views.
The perfect get away house. Cosy yet spacious and very well appointed with everything you could possibly need to ensure a relaxing break. The views from the house over port Isaac harbour are a wonderful way to wile away a few hours and unwind. The many walks from the front door allows the freedom to explore this spectacular corner of Cornwall.
It was perfect so beautifully decorated. It was bright and airy and immaculately clean. We loved it
Perfect situation over Port Isaac bay. Property tastefully decorated and maintained. What more can one want!

I can't say enough good things about The Folly 2. My wife and I treated ourselves to this wonderful property because of it's location, beauty, and prominence in Doc Martin. We had never visited England or Port Isaac so this was a onceinalifetime vacation. The inside is as wonderful as the outside. Clean, comfortable, and wellstocked. We only had one question for the owner and she answered it quickly and graciously. We would definitely return.
Michelle
This was one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. Very comfortable and the location is the best.
The house is lovely with a fantastic view over the harbour. Claire was very helpful and responded to all my queries very promptly and with detailed information. The drive up to the house is quite a challenge but worth it for the view and being in a prime location within the village. Good restaurants within walking distance of the house was a bonus.
We had an amazing stay at the Folly 2, soaking up the views of the bay Thank you so much, we will definitely be back!
Angela
Folly 2 is beautiful. It was spotless and had everything we needed for our holiday. A welcome pack would be helpful. We didnt find outdoor cushions for 2 days. Information about bins and rules might be helpful. The outdoor space is limited although a couple of sun loungers would be an excellent addition. I was ill for 2 days and would have enjoyed lying outside while everyone was out. On the whole, a fabulous house which was beautifully presented.
Robert
We enjoyed our honeymoon here the views are fantastic, we did find a few hairs in the bath and on dining room table and living room and under the sheet on the bed when we removed them to strip the linen before we left the hairs were all the same short and black , the cheese grater was also broken so maybe a check of utensils and there was no measuring jug , im wondering if it was the cleaning staffs hair because if it being under the sheet , it did make me feel a little uneasy of the cleaning process , we would also recommend a upgrade to the tv a free view or sky if it was available to the area ,other then that the house is beautiful and the scones left were beautiful.
Denise
We were very comfortable and happy staying in the Folly. There were a couple of cracked pieces of crockery which should have been removed and someone had tried to light the battery operated candles picky things but we were concerned that we would be blamed! Otherwise, perfect.
Katherine
We've been using The Folly 2 for several years now and love the property. Already booked for next year, we love the village and have been visiting for 15 years. We moved from using Northcliffe when that was sold & are so happy we chose this property. it's always clean, well presented and really does feel like home. Disappointed that we aren't able to take the dog anymore, and that the booking process has changed so that returning customers are no longer able to book the property for the same week each year but I guess things change. It won't stop us trying.
We had a fantastic holiday in Folly 2! Great house great facilities and definitely want to book it again next year!
