Home From Home Reviews

We had a wonderful stay. Would definitely return. It was immaculately clean. Everything you could want was provided. Thank you very much.
Perfect for a short break using the house as somewhere to crash after being outside walkingon the beach all day. Being fussy, I would like to say it was a shame the house was going through some decorating work and the upstairs bedroom was mid way through painting and un finished. And from a maintenance point of view Id like to let the owners know both shower screens are very leaky and that the extractor fan wasnt working in the shower room. Overall we were very happy so thank you!

This is a great property, spotlessly clean, with plenty of room and bathrooms for a big family or friend group. We loved the kitchen nook for family meals. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need. Location is good. There is not much in Fortuneswell itself but it is a short walk to chesil beach, really easy to drive into Weymouth, and actually much nicer to be away from the hustle and bustle there. Lots to see on Portland, recommend the museum. Parking is tricky, you might be lucky to park on the road, generally we ended up in one of the nearby carparks, which are free, but can be very busy depending on time of day. But don't let that put you off, it is a great house. Coop just around the corner, and the Chesil Chippie is a cut above.
Albert
Very clean property with everthing we needed provided and more. 6 male OAP's and for us the location was good. Small Coop within a few hundred yards. A number of pubs within walking distance with very friendly locals and a great helpful fish and chip shop that also does lots of other solutions at the top of the road
Joanna
Lovely cottage. Very clean. Lots of utensils to make stay convenient. Beds comfortable. Local information left. Nice walk to pubs and shop. Only slight negative is the parking, which is on street. The street is narrow and very limited parking. Public car park very busy, but another car park a few yards away. On a whole a lovely house to stay in.
Caroline
The property is amazing and we had a brilliant time. Beds were super comfortable and the shared spaces for eating and relaxing were lovely. The weekend was perfect and just what we needed. Parking was a challenge but plenty of parking on surrounding roads when we arrived, and then could move the car to long stay in the morning. Really central location and just a quick walk to the beach. Thank you.
